HOUSE BILL NO. 334

AN ACT MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE DEPARTMENT OF 1
EMPLOYMENT SECURITY FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROVIDING FUNDS TO THE 2
INDIVIDUAL TRAINING ACCOUNT WORKFORCE REINFORCEMENT ASSISTANCE 3
PROGRAM FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 2027. 4
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI: 5
SECTION 1. The following sum, or so much of it as may be 6
necessary, is appropriated out of any money in the State General 7
Fund not otherwise appropriated, to the Department of Employment 8
Security for the purpose of funding the Individual Training 9
Account Workforce Reinforcement Assistance Program created in 10
Section 37-153-223, which shall be directed by the Office of 11
Workforce Development for the purpose of providing education and 12
training to citizens seeking employment in high-wage, high-demand 13
industries with documented workforce shortages prioritized by the 14
office for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2026, and ending June 15
30, 2027............................................ $ 4,000,000.00 16
SECTION 2. The money appropriated by this act shall be paid 17
by the State Treasurer out of any money in the State General Fund 18
not otherwise appropriated, upon warrants issued by the State 19

Fiscal Officer; and the State Fiscal Officer shall issue his or 20
her warrants upon requisitions signed by the proper person, 21
officer or officers in the manner provided by law. 22
SECTION 3. This act shall take effect and be in force from 23
and after July 1, 2026. 24
