HOUSE BILL NO. 4016

AN ACT MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF 1
WILKINSON COUNTY TO ASSIST IN PAYING COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH 2
CONSTRUCTION OF OR MAKING REPAIRS TO A BRIDGE ON PINCKNEYVILLE 3
ROAD AND MAKING OTHER IMPROVEMENTS ON PINCKNEYVILLE ROAD FOR THE 4
FISCAL YEAR 2027. 5
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI: 6
SECTION 1. The following sum, or so much of it as may be 7
necessary, is appropriated out of any money in the State General 8
Fund not otherwise appropriated, to the Board of Supervisors of 9
Wilkinson County, Mississippi, to assist in paying costs 10
associated with construction of or making repairs to a bridge on 11
Pinckneyville Road and making other improvements on Pinckneyville 12
Road as provided in Section 2 of this act for the fiscal year 13
beginning July 1, 2026, and ending June 30, 2027..... $3,000,000.00 14
SECTION 2. The money appropriated by Section 1 of this act 15
shall be used by the board of supervisors as follows: 16
(a) Construction of or making repairs to a bridge on 17
Pinckneyville Road................................... $1,000,000.00 18
(b) Making improvements on Pinckneyville Road.......... 19

SECTION 3. The money appropriated by this act shall be paid 22
by the State Treasurer out of any money in the State General Fund 23
not otherwise appropriated, upon warrants issued by the State 24
Fiscal Officer; and the State Fiscal Officer shall issue his or 25
her warrants upon requisitions signed by the proper person, 26
officer or officers in the manner provided by law. 27
SECTION 4. This act shall take effect and be in force from 28
and after July 1, 2026. 29
