AN ACT MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF 1
PRENTISS COUNTY TO ASSIST IN PAYING COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH A JOINT 2
VENTURE OF THE COUNTY AND THE CITY OF BOONEVILLE TO REPAIR AND 3
UPGRADE A COUNTY ACCESS ROAD TO U.S. HIGHWAY 45 FOR THE FISCAL 4
YEAR 2027. 5
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI: 6
SECTION 1. The following sum, or so much of it as may be 7
necessary, is appropriated out of any money in the State General 8
Fund not otherwise appropriated, to the Board of Supervisors of 9
Prentiss County, Mississippi, to assist in paying costs associated 10
with a joint venture of the county and the City of Booneville, 11
Mississippi, to repair and upgrade a county access road to U.S. 12
Highway 45 with asphalt surfacing and striping for the fiscal year 13
beginning July 1, 2026, and ending June 30, 2027...... $ 976,620.00 14
SECTION 2. The money appropriated by this act shall be paid 15
by the State Treasurer out of any money in the State General Fund 16
not otherwise appropriated, upon warrants issued by the State 17
Fiscal Officer; and the State Fiscal Officer shall issue his or 18

her warrants upon requisitions signed by the proper person, 19
officer or officers in the manner provided by law. 20
SECTION 3. This act shall take effect and be in force from 21
and after July 1, 2026. 22
