HOUSE BILL NO. 4028

AN ACT MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE GOVERNING AUTHORITIES 1
OF THE CITY OF GREENVILLE TO ASSIST IN PAYING COSTS ASSOCIATED 2
WITH CERTAIN INFRASTRUCTURE PROJECTS FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 2027. 3
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI: 4
SECTION 1. The following sum, or so much of it as may be 5
necessary, is appropriated out of any money in the State General 6
Fund not otherwise appropriated, to the governing authorities of 7
the City of Greenville, Mississippi, to assist in paying costs 8
associated with certain infrastructure projects for the fiscal 9
year beginning July 1, 2026, and ending June 30, 2027............. 10

SECTION 2. Of the funds appropriated under the provisions of 12
Section 1 of this act, the following amounts shall be allocated as 13
follows: 14
To defray costs of the repaving and 15
resurfacing of certain city streets....... $ 5,567,900.00 16
To defray costs of the rehabilitation 17
of its sewer infrastructure............... $ 1,485,678.20 18

SECTION 3. The money appropriated by this act shall be paid 20
by the State Treasurer out of any money in the State General Fund 21
not otherwise appropriated, upon warrants issued by the State 22
Fiscal Officer; and the State Fiscal Officer shall issue his or 23
her warrants upon requisitions signed by the proper person, 24
officer or officers in the manner provided by law. 25
SECTION 4. This act shall take effect and be in force from 26
and after July 1, 2026. 27
