HOUSE BILL NO. 4030

AN ACT MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE GOVERNING AUTHORITIES 1
OF THE TOWN OF METCALFE TO ASSIST IN PAYING COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH 2
THE IMPROVEMENT OF THE TOWN'S WATER AND SEWER SYSTEM FOR FISCAL 3
YEAR 2027. 4
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI: 5
SECTION 1. The following sum, or so much of it as may be 6
necessary, is appropriated, out of any money in the Capital 7
Expense Fund not otherwise appropriated, to the governing 8
authorities of the Town of Metcalfe, Mississippi, to assist in 9
paying for the improvement of the town's water and sewer system 10
for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2026, and ending June 30, 11
2027................................................. $ 748,750.00. 12
SECTION 2. The money appropriated by this act shall be paid 13
by the State Treasurer out of any money in the Capital Expense 14
Fund not otherwise appropriated, upon warrants issued by the State 15
Fiscal Officer; and the State Fiscal Officer shall issue his or 16
her warrants upon requisitions signed by the proper person, 17
officer or officers in the manner provided by law. 18
