HOUSE BILL NO. 4084

AN ACT MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE GOVERNING AUTHORITIES 1
OF THE CITY OF JACKSON TO ASSIST IN PAYING COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH 2
CERTAIN ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AND GROWTH PROJECTS IN NORTHWEST 3
JACKSON FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 2027. 4
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI: 5
SECTION 1. The following sum, or so much of it as may be 6
necessary, is appropriated out of any money in the State General 7
Fund not otherwise appropriated, to the governing authorities of 8
the City of Jackson, Mississippi, to assist in paying costs 9
associated with the projects in Northwest Jackson described in 10
Section 2 of this act for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2026, 11
and ending June 30, 2027........................... $ 1,525,000.00. 12
SECTION 2. The money appropriated in Section 1 of this act 13
shall be used by the governing authorities of the City of Jackson 14
for the following economic development and expansion projects in 15
Northwest Jackson: 16
(a) Improvements to Grove Park and its recreational 17
facilities........................................... $ 500,000.00. 18

(b) Installation of surveillance cameras in strategic 19

SECTION 3. The money appropriated by this act shall be paid 24
by the State Treasurer out of any money in the State General Fund 25
not otherwise appropriated, upon warrants issued by the State 26
Fiscal Officer; and the State Fiscal Officer shall issue his or 27
her warrants upon requisitions signed by the proper person, 28
officer or officers in the manner provided by law. 29
SECTION 4. This act shall take effect and be in force from 30
and after July 1, 2026. 31
