HOUSE BILL NO. 4097

AN ACT MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF 1
THE PASS CHRISTIAN PUBLIC SCHOOL DISTRICT TO ASSIST IN PAYING 2
COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH THE CONSTRUCTION AND DEVELOPMENT OF A 3
DEDICATED PERFORMING ARTS CENTER AND SPECIALIZED CLASSROOM SPACES 4
AND MAKING OTHER BUILDING IMPROVEMENTS OF CURRENT SPACES FOR THE 5
FISCAL YEAR 2027. 6
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI: 7
SECTION 1. The following sum, or so much of it as may be 8
necessary, is appropriated out of any money in the State General 9
Fund not otherwise appropriated, to the Board of Trustees of the 10
Pass Christian Public School District to assist in paying costs 11
associated with the construction and development of a dedicated 12
Performing Arts Center and specialized classroom spaces and making 13
other building improvements of current spaces for the fiscal year 14
beginning July 1, 2026, and ending June 30, 2027.... $ 9,400,000.00 15
SECTION 2. The money appropriated by this act shall be paid 16
by the State Treasurer out of any money in the State General Fund 17
not otherwise appropriated, upon warrants issued by the State 18
Fiscal Officer; and the State Fiscal Officer shall issue his or 19

her warrants upon requisitions signed by the proper person, 20
officer or officers in the manner provided by law. 21
SECTION 3. This act shall take effect and be in force from 22
and after July 1, 2026. 23
