HOUSE BILL NO. 4119

AN ACT TO RESTORE THE RIGHT OF SUFFRAGE TO APRIL PACE-BROOKS 1
OF COAHOMA COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI. 2
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI: 3
SECTION 1. The right of suffrage is hereby fully and 4
completely restored to April Pace-Brooks of Coahoma County, 5
Mississippi, who was disqualified as an elector as a result of her 6
conviction for the crime of Embezzlement in Tunica County, on June 7
23, 2003, for which she was sentenced to serve sixty (60) months 8
on probation under the supervision of the Mississippi Department 9
of Corrections. 10
She was discharged from probation on June 23, 2008. The 11
Legislature is informed that she has since conducted herself as a 12
law-abiding and honorable citizen in a good and lawful manner. 13
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from 14
and after its passage. 15
