HOUSE BILL NO. 4121

AN ACT TO RESTORE THE RIGHT OF SUFFRAGE TO WYKESIA GEATER OF 1
JACKSON COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI. 2
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI: 3
SECTION 1. The right of suffrage is hereby fully and 4
completely restored to Wykesia Geater of Jackson County, 5
Mississippi, who was disqualified as an elector as a result of her 6
conviction for the crime of Embezzlement in Jackson County, on 7
July 15, 2004, for which she was sentenced to serve six (6) years 8
probation under the supervision of the Mississippi Department of 9
Corrections. 10
She was released to discharge on September 25, 2009. The 11
Legislature is informed that she has since conducted herself as a 12
law-abiding and honorable citizen in a good and lawful manner. 13
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from 14
and after its passage. 15
