HOUSE BILL NO. 4124

AN ACT TO RESTORE THE RIGHT OF SUFFRAGE TO JEROME WYATT OF 1
JONES COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI. 2
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI: 3
SECTION 1. The right of suffrage is hereby fully and 4
completely restored to Jerome Wyatt of Jones County, Mississippi, 5
who was disqualified as an elector as a result of his conviction 6
for the crime of Embezzlement in Jones County, Mississippi, for 7
which he was sentenced on February 24, 2020, to serve five (5) 8
years probation under the supervision of the Mississippi 9
Department of Corrections. 10
He was discharged on July 14, 2023. The Legislature is 11
informed that he has since conducted himself as a law-abiding and 12
honorable citizen in a good and lawful manner. 13
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from 14
and after its passage. 15
