HOUSE BILL NO. 4131

AN ACT TO RESTORE THE RIGHT OF SUFFRAGE TO LARRY MANGUM OF 1
HINDS COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI. 2
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI: 3
SECTION 1. The right of suffrage is hereby fully and 4
completely restored to Larry Mangum of Hinds County, Mississippi, 5
who was disqualified as an elector as a result of his conviction 6
for the crime of Embezzlement on March 19, 2007, in Hinds County, 7
Mississippi, for which he was sentenced to serve three (3) years 8
probation under the custody of the Mississippi Department of 9
Corrections. On April 30, 2018, he was convicted for the crime of 10
Marijuana Sell in Hinds County, Mississippi, for which he was 11
sentenced to three (3) years in the custody of the Mississippi 12
Department of Corrections. 13
He was released on Parole on February 14, 2019, and his 14
sentence expired on December 2, 2019. The Legislature is informed 15
that he has since conducted himself as a law-abiding and honorable 16
citizen in a good and lawful manner. 17
