HOUSE BILL NO. 4160

AN ACT TO RESTORE THE RIGHT OF SUFFRAGE TO HERMAN HOWARD OF 1
HINDS COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI. 2
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI: 3
SECTION 1. The right of suffrage is hereby fully and 4
completely restored to Herman Howard of Hinds County, Mississippi, 5
who was disqualified as an elector as a result of his conviction 6
for the crime of Embezzlement in Madison County, Mississippi, for 7
which he was sentenced on August 15, 2005, to serve five (5) years 8
under the supervision of the Mississippi Department of 9
Corrections. 10
He was released on February 12, 2014. The Legislature is 11
informed that he has since conducted himself as a law-abiding and 12
honorable citizen in a good and lawful manner. 13
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from 14
and after its passage. 15
