HOUSE BILL NO. 4173

AN ACT TO RESTORE THE RIGHT OF SUFFRAGE TO JEREMY HODGES OF 1
LEFLORE COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI. 2
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI: 3
SECTION 1. The right of suffrage is hereby fully and 4
completely restored to Jeremy Hodges of Leflore County, 5
Mississippi, who was disqualified as an elector as a result of his 6
conviction for the crime of Uttering Forgery in Leflore County, on 7
December 11, 2006, for which he was sentenced to serve two (2) 8
years under the supervision of the Mississippi Department of 9
Corrections. 10
He was released to Earned Release Supervision on November 20, 11
2007. He was discharged on January 19, 2008. The Legislature is 12
informed that he has since conducted himself as a law-abiding and 13
honorable citizen in a good and lawful manner. 14
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from 15
and after its passage. 16
