HOUSE BILL NO. 4176
AN ACT TO RESTORE THE RIGHT OF SUFFRAGE TO PAUL JACKSON OF 1
OKTIBBEHA COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI. 2
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI: 3
SECTION 1. The right of suffrage is hereby fully and 4
completely restored to Paul Jackson of Oktibbeha County, 5
Mississippi, who was disqualified as an elector as a result of his 6
conviction for the crime of Embezzlement in Lowndes County, on 7
February 14, 2001, for which he was sentenced to serve sixty (60) 8
months probation under the supervision of the Mississippi 9
Department of Corrections. He violated probation, and it was 10
revoked. On November 18, 2005, in Lowndes County, he was 11
sentenced to serve one (1) year in the custody of the Mississippi 12
Department of Corrections, and three (3) years probation. 13
He was released to parole to Earned Release Supervision on 14
May 9, 2006. He was discharged on October 18, 2007. The 15
Legislature is informed that he has since conducted himself as a 16
law-abiding and honorable citizen in a good and lawful manner. 17

ST: Suffrage; restore to Paul Anthony Jackson
of Oktibbeha County.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from 18
and after its passage. 19
