HOUSE BILL NO. 444

AN ACT MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF 1
HINDS COUNTY FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROVIDING FUNDS, ON AN APPLICATION 2
BASIS, TO SUBDIVISIONS LOCATED IN HOUSE DISTRICT 66 TO ASSIST IN 3
PAYING COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH PURCHASING AND INSTALLING SECURITY 4
CAMERAS FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 2027. 5
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI: 6
SECTION 1. The following sum, or so much of it as may be 7
necessary, is appropriated out of any money in the State General 8
Fund not otherwise appropriated, to the Board of Supervisors of 9
Hinds County, Mississippi, for the purpose of providing funds, on 10
an application basis, to subdivisions located in House District 66 11
to assist in paying costs associated with purchasing and 12
installing security cameras for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 13
2026, and ending June 30, 2027........................ $ 100,000.00 14
SECTION 2. The money appropriated by this act shall be paid 15
by the State Treasurer out of any money in the State General Fund 16
not otherwise appropriated, upon warrants issued by the State 17
Fiscal Officer; and the State Fiscal Officer shall issue his or 18

her warrants upon requisitions signed by the proper person, 19
officer or officers in the manner provided by law. 20
SECTION 3. This act shall take effect and be in force from 21
and after July 1, 2026. 22
