HOUSE BILL NO. 460

AN ACT MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE CITY OF VERONA TO PAY 1
COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH SITE DEVELOPMENT WORK RELATED TO THE OLD 2
TOWN CROSSING PROJECT AT OR NEAR THE SOUTHEAST CORNER OF 3
MISSISSIPPI HIGHWAY 6 AND U.S. HIGHWAY 45 IN THE CITY FOR THE 4
FISCAL YEAR 2027. 5
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI: 6
SECTION 1. The following sum, or so much of it as may be 7
necessary, is appropriated out of any money in the State General 8
Fund not otherwise appropriated, to the City of Verona, 9
Mississippi, to pay costs associated with site development work 10
related to the Old Town Crossing Project at or near the southeast 11
corner of Mississippi Highway 6 and U.S. Highway 45 in the City of 12
Verona for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2026, and ending June 13
30, 2027...........................................$ 1,000,000.00. 14
SECTION 2. The money appropriated by this act shall be paid 15
by the State Treasurer out of any money in the State General Fund 16
not otherwise appropriated, upon warrants issued by the State 17
Fiscal Officer; and the State Fiscal Officer shall issue his or 18

her warrants upon requisitions signed by the proper person, 19
officer or officers in the manner provided by law. 20
SECTION 3. This act shall take effect and be in force from 21
and after July 1, 2026. 22
