HOUSE BILL NO. 463
AN ACT MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF 1
MONROE COUNTY TO ASSIST IN PAYING COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH CERTAIN 2
ROAD IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS IN DISTRICT 5 OF THE COUNTY FOR THE 3
FISCAL YEAR 2027. 4
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI: 5
SECTION 1. The following sum, or so much of it as may be 6
necessary, is appropriated out of any money in the State General 7
Fund not otherwise appropriated, to the Board of Supervisors of 8
Monroe County, Mississippi, to assist in paying costs associated 9
with the road improvement projects in District 5 of the county 10
described in Section 2 for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2026, 11
and ending June 30, 2027............................ $ 1,260,500.00 12
SECTION 2. The money appropriated in Section 1 shall be 13
expended for the following road improvement projects in District 5 14
of the county: 15
(a) Paving and rebuilding of White Rock Road........... 16
...................................................... $ 780,000.00 17
(b) Resurfacing of Prospect Road........... $ 310,000.00 18
(c) Resurfacing of Central Grove Road...... $ 170,500.00 19

ST: Appropriation; Monroe County for costs of
certain road improvement projects in District 5.
TOTAL............................................... $ 1,260,500.00 20
SECTION 3. The money appropriated by this act shall be paid 21
by the State Treasurer out of any money in the State General Fund 22
not otherwise appropriated, upon warrants issued by the State 23
Fiscal Officer; and the State Fiscal Officer shall issue his or 24
her warrants upon requisitions signed by the proper person, 25
officer or officers in the manner provided by law. 26
SECTION 4. This act shall take effect and be in force from 27
and after July 1, 2026. 28
