AN ACT MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE GOVERNING AUTHORITIES 1

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI: 8
SECTION 1. The following sum, or so much of it as may be 9
necessary, is appropriated out of any money in the State General 10
Fund not otherwise appropriated, to the governing authorities of 11
the City of Okolona, Mississippi, to assist in paying costs 12
associated with construction, engineering and related costs for 13
overlaying Park Lane, Adams Avenue, Murphy Street, Chenault 14
Street, Hawkins Street, Forest Drive, Lee Circle, Dawson Street, 15
Okolona Terrace, Gatlin Street and Hillcrest Street in the city 16
for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2026, and ending June 30, 17
2027............................................... $ 1,486,100.00. 18
SECTION 2. The money appropriated by this act shall be paid 19
by the State Treasurer out of any money in the State General Fund 20

not otherwise appropriated, upon warrants issued by the State 21
Fiscal Officer; and the State Fiscal Officer shall issue his or 22
her warrants upon requisitions signed by the proper person, 23
officer or officers in the manner provided by law. 24
SECTION 3. This act shall take effect and be in force from 25
and after July 1, 2026. 26
