HOUSE BILL NO. 503

AN ACT MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF 1
PIKE COUNTY TO ASSIST IN PAYING COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH BUILDING A 2
BRIDGE ON U.S. HIGHWAY 51 OVER THE CANADIAN NATIONAL RAILWAY 3
RAILROAD FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 2027. 4
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI: 5
SECTION 1. The following sum, or so much of it as may be 6
necessary, is appropriated out of any money in the State General 7
Fund not otherwise appropriated to the Board of Supervisors of 8
Pike County, Mississippi, to assist in paying costs associated 9
with building a bridge on U.S. Highway 51 over the Canadian 10
National Railway railroad to increase access to the Metro Pike 11
Industrial Park for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2026, and 12
ending June 30, 2027................................$4,000,000.00. 13
SECTION 2. The money appropriated by this act shall be paid 14
by the State Treasurer out of any money in the State General Fund 15
not otherwise appropriated, upon warrants issued by the State 16
Fiscal Officer; and the State Fiscal Officer shall issue his or 17
her warrants upon requisitions signed by the proper person, 18
officer or officers in the manner provided by law. 19

SECTION 3. This act shall take effect and be in force from 20
