HOUSE BILL NO. 585

AN ACT MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE CITY OF HOLLY SPRINGS 1
FOR THE PURPOSE OF WIDENING A SEGMENT OF OLD HIGHWAY 78 INTO A 2
FOUR-LANE ROAD FOR THE SPRINGS INDUSTRIAL PARK THAT WILL BE 3
LOCATED IN HOLLY SPRINGS, FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 2027. 4
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI: 5
SECTION 1. The following sum, or so much of it as may be 6
necessary, is appropriated out of any money in the State General 7
Fund not otherwise appropriated, to the City of Holly Springs, 8
Mississippi, for the purpose of widening a segment of Old Highway 9
78 into a four-lane road for the Springs Industrial Park that will 10
be located in Holly Springs, for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 11
2026, and ending June 30, 2027..................... $ 2,500,000.00. 12
SECTION 2. The money appropriated by this act shall be paid 13
by the State Treasurer out of any money in the State General Fund 14
not otherwise appropriated, upon warrants issued by the State 15
Fiscal Officer; and the State Fiscal Officer shall issue his or 16
her warrants upon requisitions signed by the proper person, 17
officer or officers in the manner provided by law. 18
