AN ACT MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF 1

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI: 8
SECTION 1. The following sum, or so much of it as may be 9
necessary, is appropriated out of any money in the State General 10
Fund not otherwise appropriated, to the Board of Trustees of State 11
Institutions of Higher Learning for the purpose of providing 12
funding in equal amounts to Jackson State University, Alcorn State 13
University and Mississippi Valley State University for making 14
restorations and renovations on projects that have been requested 15
from the Legislature for more than two (2) years, for the fiscal 16
year beginning July 1, 2026, and ending June 30, 2027............. 17

SECTION 2. The money appropriated by this act shall be paid 19
by the State Treasurer out of any money in the State General Fund 20

not otherwise appropriated, upon warrants issued by the State 21
Fiscal Officer; and the State Fiscal Officer shall issue his or 22
her warrants upon requisitions signed by the proper person, 23
officer or officers in the manner provided by law. 24
SECTION 3. This act shall take effect and be in force from 25
and after July 1, 2026. 26
