AN ACT MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF 1
THE DELTA HEALTH SYSTEM IN GREENVILLE TO ASSIST IN PAYING COSTS 2
ASSOCIATED WITH PROCURING AND INSTALLING ADVANCED MAMMOGRAPHY 3
EQUIPMENT AND REPLACING AND/OR UPDATING OF HOSPITAL INFRASTRUCTURE 4
FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 2027. 5
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI: 6
SECTION 1. The following sum, or so much of it as may be 7
necessary, is appropriated out of any money in the State General 8
Fund not otherwise appropriated, to the Board of Trustees of the 9
Delta Health System in Greenville, Mississippi, to assist in 10
paying costs associated with the purposes described in Section 2 11
of this act for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2026, and ending 12
June 30, 2027......................................... $ 831,000.00 13
SECTION 2. The money appropriated by Section 1 of this act 14
shall be used by the Board of Trustees of the Delta Health System 15
as follows: 16
(a) Procuring and installing state-of-the-art advanced 17
mammography equipment, including a 3D digital mammography unit 18
with biopsy kit and C-arm............................. $ 481,000.00 19

(b) Replacing and/or updating hospital infrastructure, 20
specifically a boiler/chiller that supports the environment for 21
sensitive medical equipment such as mammography equipment......... 22

SECTION 3. The money appropriated by this act shall be paid 25
by the State Treasurer out of any money in the State General Fund 26
not otherwise appropriated, upon warrants issued by the State 27
Fiscal Officer; and the State Fiscal Officer shall issue his or 28
her warrants upon requisitions signed by the proper person, 29
officer or officers in the manner provided by law. 30
SECTION 4. This act shall take effect and be in force from 31
and after July 1, 2026. 32
