HOUSE BILL NO. 764

AN ACT TO REQUIRE LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCIES TO RECORD 1
INTERROGATIONS ON VIDEO AND PRESERVE SUCH RECORDINGS; AND FOR 2
RELATED PURPOSES. 3
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI: 4
SECTION 1. All interrogations conducted by any law 5
enforcement agency shall be recorded on video from the beginning 6
of the interrogation through the end of the interrogation. The 7
law enforcement agency shall preserve such interrogation video 8
recordings for a minimum of ten (10) years. 9
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from 10
and after July 1, 2026. 11
