HOUSE BILL NO. 790

AN ACT MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF 1
SHARKEY COUNTY TO ASSIST IN PAYING CERTAIN INFRASTRUCTURE AND SITE 2
DEVELOPMENT COSTS AT THE SHARKEY COUNTY INDUSTRIAL PARK FOR THE 3
FISCAL YEAR 2027. 4
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI: 5
SECTION 1. The following sum, or so much of it as may be 6
necessary, is appropriated out of any money in the State General 7
Fund not otherwise appropriated, to the Board of Supervisors of 8
Sharkey County, Mississippi, to assist in paying costs associated 9
with infrastructure and site development required for the 10
construction of two (2) new manufacturing businesses in the 11
agriculture and recycling industries at the Sharkey County 12
Industrial Park for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2026, and 13
ending June 30, 2027 ............................. $ 3,000,000.00. 14
SECTION 2. The money appropriated by this act shall be paid 15
by the State Treasurer out of any money in the State General Fund 16
not otherwise appropriated, upon warrants issued by the State 17
Fiscal Officer; and the State Fiscal Officer shall issue his or 18

her warrants upon requisitions signed by the proper person, 19
officer or officers in the manner provided by law. 20
SECTION 3. This act shall take effect and be in force from 21
and after July 1, 2026. 22
