HOUSE BILL NO. 807

AN ACT MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF 1
SHARKEY COUNTY FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROVIDING LOCAL MATCH FUNDING 2
FOR THE SHARKEY COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT AGENCY FOR THE 3
CONSTRUCTION OF CERTAIN FACILITIES FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 2027. 4
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI: 5
SECTION 1. The following sum, or so much of it as may be 6
necessary, is appropriated out of any money in the State General 7
Fund not otherwise appropriated, to the Board of Supervisors of 8
Sharkey County, Mississippi, for the purpose of providing local 9
match funding for the Sharkey County Emergency Management Agency 10
for the construction of facilities consisting of a community safe 11
room, an emergency operations center and a distribution center for 12
the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2026, and ending June 30, 2027 13

SECTION 2. The money appropriated by this act shall be paid 15
by the State Treasurer out of any money in the State General Fund 16
not otherwise appropriated, upon warrants issued by the State 17
Fiscal Officer; and the State Fiscal Officer shall issue his or 18

her warrants upon requisitions signed by the proper person, 19
officer or officers in the manner provided by law. 20
SECTION 3. This act shall take effect and be in force from 21
and after July 1, 2026. 22
