AN ACT MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE GOVERNING AUTHORITIES 1
OF THE CITY OF MCCOMB TO ASSIST IN PAYING COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH 2
THE CONSTRUCTION AND EQUIPPING OF A FIRE STATION IN SOUTH MCCOMB 3
AND PURCHASING A NEW FIRE TRUCK AND EQUIPMENT FOR THE STATION FOR 4
THE FISCAL YEAR 2027. 5
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI: 6
SECTION 1. The following sum, or so much of it as may be 7
necessary, is appropriated out of any money in the State General 8
Fund not otherwise appropriated, to the governing authorities of 9
the City of McComb, Mississippi, to assist in paying costs 10
associated with the construction and equipping of a fire station 11
in South McComb and purchasing a new fire truck and equipment for 12
the station, as provided in Section 2, for the fiscal year 13
beginning July 1, 2026, and ending June 30, 2027... $ 5,000,000.00. 14
SECTION 2. The money appropriated by Section 1 shall be used 15
as follows: 16
(a) Construction of new fire station..... $ 2,000,000.00 17
(b) Equipping the fire station...........$ 500,000.00 18
(c) Purchase of new fire truck...........$ 2,000,000.00 19

(d) Equipping the fire truck.............$ 500,000.00 20

SECTION 3. The money appropriated by this act shall be paid 22
by the State Treasurer out of any money in the State General Fund 23
not otherwise appropriated, upon warrants issued by the State 24
Fiscal Officer; and the State Fiscal Officer shall issue his or 25
her warrants upon requisitions signed by the proper person, 26
officer or officers in the manner provided by law. 27
SECTION 4. This act shall take effect and be in force from 28
and after July 1, 2026. 29
