A RESOLUTION COMMENDING AND HONORING MR. JIMMY CARR OF EATON 1
AEROSPACE FOR HIS OUTSTANDING COMMITMENT TO COMMUNITY SERVICE, 2
EDUCATION AND WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT IN THE CITY OF JACKSON AND THE 3
STATE OF MISSISSIPPI. 4
WHEREAS, Mr. Jimmy Carr, a distinguished leader with Eaton 5
Aerospace, has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to 6
strengthening communities through workforce development, 7
mentorship and educational opportunity; and 8
WHEREAS, through his leadership and advocacy, Eaton Aerospace 9
has provided valuable internship and career opportunities to 10
students of Jackson State University, helping prepare the next 11
generation of engineers, innovators, and professionals for 12
meaningful careers in advanced manufacturing and aerospace 13
industries; and 14
WHEREAS, Mr. Carr has worked diligently to build meaningful 15
partnerships between industry and education, ensuring that 16
students are exposed to real-world career pathways while gaining 17
hands-on experience that enhances both their academic and 18

WHEREAS, beyond his corporate leadership, Mr. Carr has 20
demonstrated a deep commitment to the youth of the Jackson Public 21
School District, particularly through his work and engagement with 22
Callaway High School, where he has supported students through 23
mentorship, encouragement, and exposure to career opportunities; 24
and 25
WHEREAS, Mr. Carr's service extends further through his 26
partnership with 100 Black Men of Jackson, where he has 27
contributed his time, leadership, resources to mentoring young 28
men, supporting initiatives designed to build character, 29
leadership, and academic excellence; and 30
WHEREAS, Mr. Carr's tireless volunteer efforts and dedication 31
to uplifting young people throughout the community exemplify the 32
spirit of servant leadership and reflect a commitment to creating 33
pathways of opportunity for future generations; and 34
WHEREAS, it is the policy of the House of Representatives to 35
recognize individuals like Mr. Jimmy Carr whose work strengthens 36
the bond between education, industry, and community while opening 37
doors of opportunity for countless students and families: 38
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF 39
REPRESENTATIVES OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI, That we do hereby 40
commend and honor Mr. Jimmy Carr of Eaton Aerospace for his 41
exceptional leadership, community service and dedication to 42
creating educational and workforce opportunities for the students 43
