HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 111
A RESOLUTION COMMENDING AND CONGRATULATING THE SOUTH PANOLA 1
HIGH SCHOOL TIGERS JUNIOR VARSITY CHEERLEADING TEAM FOR WINNING 2
THE NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL JUNIOR VARSITY GAME DAY CHAMPIONSHIP AT 3
THE UCA NATIONAL CHEER CHAMPIONSHIP AND FOR SECURING THE FIRST UCA 4
NATIONAL TITLE IN SCHOOL HISTORY. 5
WHEREAS, the South Panola High School Tigers Junior Varsity 6
Cheerleading Team delivered an outstanding performance at the UCA 7
National Cheer Championship held in Orlando, Florida, on February 8
2, 2026, capturing the National High School Junior Varsity Game 9
Day Championship and marking a historic milestone as the first 10
Universal Cheerleaders Association (UCA) National title in the 11
proud history of South Panola High School; and 12
WHEREAS, the competition in Orlando brought together some of 13
the most talented cheer squads from across the nation, requiring 14
exceptional precision, coordination, athleticism and spirit, all 15
of which were exemplified by the South Panola Junior Varsity 16
Cheerleaders as they performed with excellence on the national 17
stage; and 18

WHEREAS, alongside this remarkable achievement, the South 19
Panola High School Varsity Cheerleaders also represented their 20
school with distinction, competing in the largest division of the 21
National High School Game Day Championship and finishing among the 22
top 30% of teams nationwide, demonstrating the depth of talent and 23
dedication within the South Panola cheer program; and 24
WHEREAS, the members of the South Panola High School Junior 25
Varsity Cheer Team whose commitment, discipline and teamwork led 26
them to this historic national championship include: Maggey 27
Austin, Mckenzie Blackburn, Lyla Kate Burkes, Alyssia Burnette, 28
Melanie Cannon, Adilyn Cole, Brooke Copeland, Harlee Kate 29
Crumpler, Katie Daniel, Marlee Donahue, Ava Eckles, Amiyah Farmer, 30
Sara Henri Hannaford, Mari Preslee Helms, Abbey Kate Johnson, 31
Kadynce Johnson, Jermiyah Lee, Baylee Little, Braydee Clair 32
Little, Annalynn Morgan, Peyton Nicholson, Raimah Poole, Alycia 33
Robertson, Taylor Russell, Lela Sanford, Khloe Sneed, Hanna 34
Talley, Destiney Thompson, Madison Turner, Adie Ware and Taniyah 35
Willingham; and 36
WHEREAS, guiding these talented student-athletes to national 37
success are coaches Mary Booth, Sara Helen Ware, Tori Beth Jenkins 38
and Aerial Sanford, whose leadership, encouragement and dedication 39
to excellence helped cultivate the discipline, teamwork and 40
confidence necessary to achieve this historic victory; and 41
WHEREAS, the success of the South Panola High School Junior 42
Varsity Cheerleaders reflects not only the determination of the 43

athletes and coaches but also the steadfast support of faculty, 44
administrators, parents, students and the entire South Panola 45
community, whose encouragement and pride inspire these young 46
athletes to strive for greatness; and 47
WHEREAS, it is the policy of the House of Representatives to 48
recognize and commend outstanding achievements by Mississippi 49
student-athletes whose hard work, perseverance and dedication 50
bring honor to their schools, their communities and the State of 51
Mississippi: 52
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF 53
REPRESENTATIVES OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI, That we do hereby 54
commend and congratulate the South Panola High School Tigers 55
Junior Varsity Cheerleading Team for winning the National High 56
School Junior Varsity Game Day Championship at the UCA National 57
Cheer Championship and for securing the first UCA National title 58
in school history, and extend best wishes for continued success in 59
all their future endeavors. 60
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That copies of this resolution be 61
furnished to coaches Mary Booth, Sara Helen Ware, Tori Beth 62
Jenkins and Aerial Sanford on behalf of the South Panola High 63
School Junior Varsity Cheerleading Team, the administration of the 64
South Panola School District, and to the members of the Capitol 65
Press Corps. 66
