A RESOLUTION CONGRATULATING REVEREND DR. VICTOR DIXON ON 1
BEING ELECTED TO THE ESTEEMED POSITION OF PRESIDENT OF THE COPIAH 2
MINISTERIAL ALLIANCE. 3
WHEREAS, Reverend Dr. Victor Dixon has served as the esteemed 4
President of the Copiah Ministerial Alliance since this impressive 5
organization was created; and 6
WHEREAS, he has faithfully fulfilled his presidential duties 7
while continuing to serve his flock as the pastor of Egypt Hill 8
Missionary Baptist Church in Crystal Springs, where he has 9
passionately helped thousands give their lives to Christ, and 10
while continuing to serve as the President of the Bethel Christian 11
College in Hazelhurst; and 12
WHEREAS, he has held numerous leadership positions before 13
these, including Director for the Copiah County Ministerial 14
Alliance Abstinence Only and Parental Involvement Programs from 15
2005 through 2010, Executive Chairperson for the Copiah County 16
Democratic Party 2015, President of the Legendary Dixon Singers, 17
President of Dixon Reunion and Review; and 18

WHEREAS, in spite of serving in these many leadership roles, 19
he still found time to serve his community as a board member for 20
the Mississippi Baptist State Convention, the Tri-County Healthy 21
Marriage Coalition and as a member of the board for the Boys and 22
Girls Club of Copiah County; and 23
WHEREAS, an astute businessman, he is the owner and operator 24
of Dixon's Body and Auto Sales, Inc.; and 25
WHEREAS, he has been supported in all his endeavors by his 26
loving wife, Mrs. Lavoise Singleton Dixon, their two children, 27
Kristy and Stephen and their three amazing grandchildren; and 28
WHEREAS, it is the policy of the Legislature to honor 29
community leaders who exude excellence in all they do to improve 30
the quality of life for the citizens of our state: 31
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF 32
REPRESENTATIVES OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI, That we do hereby 33
commend and congratulate Reverend Dr. Victor Dixon on being 34
elected to the esteemed position of President of the Copiah County 35
Ministerial Alliance. 36
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That copies of this resolution be 37
furnished to Reverend Dr. Victor Dixon and to the members of the 38
Capitol Press Corps. 39
