A RESOLUTION RECOGNIZING AND COMMENDING MRS. ANDREA 1
WASHINGTON SMITH FOR HER OUTSTANDING SERVICE AND ACHIEVEMENTS. 2
WHEREAS, as a woman of bold faith, extraordinary discipline 3
and divine purpose, Mrs. Andrea Washington Smith is a proud wife, 4
mother, grandmother, daughter, and sister, whose life reflects a 5
rare combination of leadership, resilience, and service across 6
land, air, and sea, and as she is known as "The Warrior of the Sky 7
and Sea," she is a trailblazer who has carved out a powerful 8
legacy as a master helmsman, spiritual leader, and life 9
transformer; and 10
WHEREAS, born in Jackson, Mississippi, Mrs. Smith began her 11
work ethic early in life, and by the age of seven she was helping 12
manage her family's business in North Jackson, and her mother was 13
a neighborhood beautician, and her father was an educator and a 14
political advisor, and these early leadership lessons laid the 15
foundation for a dynamic career that has spanned continents and 16
industries, and she eventually relocated to the East Coast, 17
continuing her pursuit of excellence and service; and 18

WHEREAS, Mrs. Smith spent over 23 years as a commercial 19
flight attendant, logging thousands of hours in the sky visiting 20
state upon state, and her grace under pressure, professionalism, 21
and strong leadership propelled her into the role of Vice 22
President of the Atlanta Chapter Flight Attendant Union, where she 23
served as a key liaison between union members and airline 24
management, advocating for improved working conditions and 25
employee rights, and yet, seeing the entire world in the skies 26
proved to be not enough for her; and 27
WHEREAS, in 2015, Mrs. Smith took her talents to the sea, 28
sailing from continent upon continent from Australia to Djibouti, 29
Africa, and she became a Master Helmsman with the Department of 30
Defense and Military Sealift Command (MSC), where she now provides 31
essential maritime support for the United States Navy by providing 32
oceanic transportation; and 33
WHEREAS, MSC operates 125 civilian-crew ships tasked with 34
relishing valuable supplies to the United States Navy, and its 35
fleets are tasked with completing specialized missions, often 36
establishing combat cargo caches at sea for depleted warships, and 37
they are commissioned to transport military cargo and supplies 38
used by the United States forces and their coalition partners; and 39
WHEREAS, Mrs. Smith's role involves navigating massive ships 40
through some of the most strategic and challenging waters in the 41
world, including the Strait of Gibraltar, the Malacca Strait, the 42
Red Sea, the Mediterranean, the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans, and 43

more, and as Master Helmsman she applies her vast technical 44
expertise and knowledge to maneuver through unpredictable oceanic 45
conditions while maintaining the safety of her crew and ensuring a 46
stayed course, no matter the scenario; and 47
WHEREAS, Mrs. Smith's most fulfilling mission was navigating 48
through the Suez Canal, a high-stakes assignment in support of MSC 49
and the United States Navy; and 50
WHEREAS, Mrs. Smith's technical precision at sea mirrors her 51
passion for helping people stay on course in life, and as the 52
Million-Dollar Life and Health Wellness Coach, she brings 53
unmatched leadership, emotional intelligence, and tactical wisdom 54
to those ready to transform, and her lifestyle coaching program is 55
deeply rooted in her own experiences navigating literal and 56
figurative storms, guiding clients beyond survival and into 57
sustainable success; and 58
WHEREAS, Mrs. Smith's RX4Life method delivers more than just 59
strategies, it is a hands-on, all-hands-on-deck approach that 60
incorporates spirituality, discipline, self-care and vision, and 61
she has been affectionately called the "Million-Dollar Coach," not 62
just for her ability to create visible change, but for the 63
life-altering breakthroughs her clients experience, and from 64
anchoring wellness to steering life goals, she equips individuals 65
to rise, reset and take the helm of their future; and 66
WHEREAS, devoted to her faith, ministry has always been at 67
the heart of Mrs. Smith's calling, as she preached her first Bible 68

passages to her brother at age five and attended Sunday School 69
faithfully with her family, and she now serves as a global 70
evangelist and minister of reconciliation, having preached in 71
seven countries with a powerful revivalist anointing, and she is 72
also the visionary founder and overseer of W.O.R.D., Women of 73
Royal Distinction, a movement that empowers women to live with 74
spiritual authority, royal dignity, and God-given purpose, and the 75
group held its first conference in 2000 and has remained active 76
since then; and 77
WHEREAS, today, Mrs. Smith is most fulfilled by time spent 78
with her loving family, including her son, Reggie, and her beloved 79
grandchildren: Ava Violet ("The Duchess"), Ryan Elias ("The 80
Duke") and Kally ("My Kally"), and she has been step-mother to 81
Chenique and Juba, who have given her over 13 grandchildren, and 82
while she is a forever daddy's girl at heart, she adores her 83
mother and brother; and 84
WHEREAS, a true warrior by nature, Mrs. Smith lives by her 85
personal motto: "Fear is a sickness, and it cripples the soul", 86
and whether she is at the helm of a ship, a stage, or a coaching 87
session, she is an unstoppable force, steering others toward the 88
best version of themselves and boldly declaring that you can live 89
a victorious life; and 90
WHEREAS, it is the policy of the House of Representatives to 91
honor exceptional Mississippians, especially those such as Mrs. 92

ST: Andrea Washington Smith; recognize and
commend for outstanding service and
achievements.
Smith, a lady whose extraordinary service and achievements brings 93
honor to her family, community, and to the State of Mississippi: 94
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF 95
REPRESENTATIVES OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI, That we do hereby 96
recognize and commend Mrs. Andrea Washington Smith for her 97
outstanding service and achievements, and extend best wishes for 98
continued success in all her future endeavors. 99
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That copies of this resolution be 100
furnished to Mrs. Andrea Washington Smith, and to the members of 101
the Capitol Press Corps. 102
