HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 18
A RESOLUTION HONORING THE LIFE AND LEGACY OF MR. ROBERT "BOB" 1
JOHN CRECHALE, AND EXPRESSING DEEPEST SYMPATHY TO HIS FAMILY AND 2
FRIENDS UPON HIS PASSING. 3
WHEREAS, it is written in Ecclesiastes 3:1 that "To 4
everything there is a season, and a time for every purpose under 5
the Heaven," and as such, on Wednesday, December 24, 2025, the 6
immaculate author and finisher of our souls' destiny summoned the 7
mortal presence of dearly beloved, Mr. Robert "Bob" John Crechale, 8
of Jackson, Mississippi, to eternal rest, rendering great sorrow 9
and loss to his family, friends and community; and 10
WHEREAS, born December 9, 1955, Mr. Crechale, a proud 11
Jacksonian, was the owner of Crechale's Restaurant for 55 12
outstanding years, and he was a staple in the community and his 13
church, always welcoming people with a smile and a "good to see 14
you"; and 15
WHEREAS, a loving father, husband and friend to all, Mr. 16
Crechale never met a stranger, and he loved to hunt and also 17
enjoyed spending every Sunday shooting with his many buddies at 18

the gun club, and he also loved his dog, Gabriel, and was a black 19
belt in karate and participated and enjoyed martial arts events 20
with his friends; and 21
WHEREAS, a genuine man of exceptional character, Mr. 22
Crechale's outstanding legacy will continue for generations to 23
come, and precious memories of time spent with him will hopefully 24
continue to provide warmth, peace and comfort to his loved ones; 25
and 26
WHEREAS, though he has traversed the river of life to reunite 27
with those who answered God's summons to life eternal and now 28
beckon his arrival to the celestial shores of Heaven's grandeur, 29
such as his father, John Paul Crechale, and his mother, Bobbie Ann 30
McCain; the legacy of Mr. Crechale's indelible imprint upon our 31
lives will continue to refresh the hearts and fond memories of his 32
loved ones, including the mother of his children, Gloria; three 33
children: Anderson, Anne Maree and Robert John; Cristina and his 34
brothers: Paul, Kenneth, Phillip and Michael; sister, Diane 35
Thomas; and a host of other relatives, loved ones and dear 36
friends; and 37
WHEREAS, Mr. Crechale will forever be loved, cherished and 38
missed by all who knew him, and since it is written in 2 39
Corinthians 5:8, that to be "absent from the body is to be present 40
with the Lord", his family and friends can find peace and comfort 41
during this difficult time; and 42

ST: Robert "Bob" John Crechale; commend life
and legacy upon his passing.
WHEREAS, it is the policy of the House of Representatives to 43
recognize and honor the lives of extraordinary Mississippians, 44
especially those such as Mr. Crechale, a wonderful man whose 45
life's light illuminated the path of hope for all he encountered 46
along this earthly sojourn: 47
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF 48
REPRESENTATIVES OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI, That we do hereby 49
mourn the loss and honor the life and legacy of Mr. Robert "Bob" 50
John Crechale, and express deepest sympathy to his family and 51
friends upon his passing. 52
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That copies of this resolution be 53
furnished to the family of Mr. Robert "Bob" John Crechale, and to 54
the members of the Capitol Press Corps. 55
