A RESOLUTION COMMENDING AND CONGRATULATING THE EAST WEBSTER 1
HIGH SCHOOL VARSITY CHEER TEAM UPON WINNING THE MISSISSIPPI HIGH 2
SCHOOL ACTIVITIES ASSOCIATION (MHSAA) 2025 1-4A NON-TUMBLING STATE 3
CHAMPIONSHIP. 4
WHEREAS, the East Webster High School Varsity Cheer Team is 5
being honored and celebrated upon capturing the Mississippi High 6
School Activities Association (MHSAA) 2025 1-4A Non-Tumbling State 7
Championship; and 8
WHEREAS, these talented Wolverines, who superbly boost school 9
spirit while promoting good sportsmanship, had an outstanding 10
cheer season as their victorious 2025 state championship win comes 11
after the team was named as MHSAA's State Runner-Up in the 2024 12
1-4A Non-Tumbling State Championship - which speaks to the 13
dedication and hard work of these young ladies; and 14
WHEREAS, members of the victorious East Webster High School 15
Varsity Cheer Team are as follows: Khole Quinn; Kambry Reed; Maci 16
Hunt; Bella Flora; Karlee Bigham; Braylee Gilliland; Kierston 17
Quinn; Analeigh Walters; Winters Norman; Sara Jewel McKee; JoAnna 18

WHEREAS, the Wolverines Varsity Cheer Team have been superbly 22
coached and inspired by Head Coach Shawna Williams who has refined 23
the skills and execution of the team; and 24
WHEREAS, the East Webster High School Varsity Cheer Team have 25
developed a winning and cooperative spirit and a high degree of 26
sportsmanship and their activities and attitude reflect great 27
credit upon the individual team members, their coach, parents and 28
East Webster High School and brings great honor to the entire 29
Webster County School District; and 30
WHEREAS, it is the policy of the House of Representatives to 31
recognize and commend excellence, especially when evidenced by the 32
youth of our state, who are its future: 33
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF 34
REPRESENTATIVES OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI, That we do hereby 35
commend and congratulate the East Webster High School Varsity 36
Cheer Team and their coach for their extraordinary season and upon 37
winning the MHSAA 2025 1-4A Non-Tumbling State Championship as 38
well as for displaying tireless devotion to their athletic 39
endeavors, which has resulted in their being crowned state 40
champions. 41
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That copies of this resolution be 42
furnished to Head Coach Shawna Williams and to the members of the 43
Capitol Press Corps. 44
