HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 83
A RESOLUTION COMMENDING THE 25 COACHES FROM ACROSS 1
MISSISSIPPI WHO HAVE BEEN CHOSEN AS FELLOWS FOR THE 2025-2026 2
CLASS OF TOMORROW'S 25 IN COACHING FELLOWSHIP. 3
WHEREAS, the Tomorrow's 25 Coaching Fellowship is presented 4
by the Mississippi Association of Coaches (MAC) and the 5
Mississippi High School Activities Association (MHSAA); and 6
WHEREAS, the Tomorrow's 25 Coaching Fellowship seeks to 7
annually select and invest in 25 future leaders for Mississippi in 8
the area of high school and middle school athletics; and 9
WHEREAS, the following candidates were chosen for the 10
2025-2026 cohort: Ahmad Alexander (East Tallahatchie School 11
District); Shay Ashford (Amory School District); Chris Bedenbaugh 12
(Hattiesburg Public School District); Shadejha Brown (Kemper 13
County School District); Matt DeFillips (Long Beach School 14
District); Christine Demus (Yazoo County School District); 15
Pashonda Edwards (Tupelo Public School District); Debrah Everett 16
(Lauderdale County School District); Margaret Falatko (DeSoto 17
County Schools); Gina Fulton (Rankin County School District); 18

Carenzo George (Hinds County School District); Lindsey Griffin 19
(Western Line School District); Broderick Hall (East Jasper School 20
District); David Hendershot (Rankin County School District); Scott 21
Landry (Biloxi Public School District); Scotti Miles (DeSoto 22
County Schools); Micah Moment (Booneville School District); 23
Alphaka Moore (Lamar County Schools); Dr. Conswayla Nickson (Perry 24
County School District); Quincy Patrick (Harrison County School 25
District); Jalessa Taylor (Madison County Schools); Trey Ward 26
(Tupelo Public School District); Kenton Wheaton (Meridian Public 27
School District); Nicki Whitten (DeSoto County Schools); Kevin 28
Williams (Corinth School District); and 29
WHEREAS, with the announcement of the 2025–2026 cohort, the 30
State of Mississippi now celebrates a significant milestone as 100 31
coaches have completed or are participating in the Tomorrow's 25 32
Coaching Fellowship since its founding, reflecting a growing 33
statewide commitment to leadership development in amateur 34
athletics; and 35
WHEREAS, the cumulative impact of these 100 coaches extends 36
far beyond the playing field, positively influencing thousands of 37
student-athletes, strengthening school communities, and 38
contributing to the long-term cultural and civic vitality of the 39
State of Mississippi; and 40
WHEREAS, all 25 candidates were identified by a selection 41
committee, and represent the best the state has to offer based on 42

their competency, character and commitment to their school and 43
community; and 44
WHEREAS, the Tomorrow's 25 Coaching Fellowship seeks to 45
assist in three areas of growth for each candidate: Coaching the 46
Whole Athlete (Leadership, Resilience, Empathy and 47
Responsibility); the opportunity to network with 24 of their peers 48
who have demonstrated the capacity to be our state's future 49
leaders in athletics; and access to current leaders in the MAC, 50
MHSAA and college athletics to learn how they can grow their 51
spheres of influence in their communities and across the state; 52
and 53
WHEREAS, the ultimate goal of the Tomorrow's 25 Coaching 54
Fellowship is for the selected candidates to have this time to 55
deliberately work on their craft in a cohort of their peers, so 56
that ultimately their student-athletes and overall communities 57
benefit for years to come; and 58
WHEREAS, it is the policy of the House of Representatives to 59
recognize and commend the accomplishments of the state's emerging 60
leaders who make exemplary strides in every facet of Mississippi 61
life, particularly those in the educational arena: 62
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF 63
REPRESENTATIVES OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI, That we do hereby 64
congratulate the selected coaches for the 2025-2026 Tomorrow's 25 65
Coaching Fellowship Class and extend best wishes for continued 66
success in the future. 67

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That copies of this resolution be 68
furnished to each individual selected for participation in the 69
2025-2026 Tomorrow's 25 Coaching Fellowship Class, the executive 70
directors of the Mississippi Association of Coaches and the 71
Mississippi High School Activities Association, and to the members 72
of the Capitol Press Corps. 73
