HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 87
A HOUSE RESOLUTION COMMENDING AND CONGRATULATING THE 1
TISHOMINGO COUNTY HIGH SCHOOL "BRAVETTES" DANCE TEAM UPON WINNING 2
THE 2025 MISSISSIPPI STATE CHAMPIONSHIP IN THE 1A-4A HIP-HOP 3
DIVISION. 4
WHEREAS, the Tishomingo County High School Bravettes Dance 5
Team achieved a historic milestone on December 12, 2025, by 6
winning the program's first-ever state championship in the 1A-4A 7
Hip-Hop Division during competition held in Jackson, Mississippi; 8
and 9
WHEREAS, this remarkable victory marks a defining moment in 10
the history of Tishomingo County High School athletics and 11
performing arts, demonstrating the Bravettes' commitment to 12
excellence, discipline and teamwork as they competed against 13
talented dance teams from across the state; and 14
WHEREAS, under the outstanding leadership of Head Coach 15
Alexis Rogers, with the valuable guidance of Assistant Coach 16
Abigail Williford, the Bravettes Dance Team devoted countless 17
hours to rigorous practice, preparation and performance 18

refinement, resulting in a championship performance that showcased 19
their precision, creativity and athleticism; and 20
WHEREAS, the team was guided on the floor by senior Dance 21
Captains Gracie Wilson and Maycie Westbrook, whose leadership, 22
determination and encouragement inspired their teammates to 23
perform at the highest level and to pursue the goal of bringing 24
home the program's first state title; and 25
WHEREAS, the championship Bravettes Dance Team roster is 26
comprised of a talented and dedicated group of student performers 27
including: seniors, Lily Cooley, Ava Reed, Britney Mock, Gracie 28
Wilson and Maycie Westbrook; junior, Caroline Robinette; 29
sophomores, Lilly Edge, Kylie Hallmark, Caroline Robinson and 30
Shelby Wallace; and freshman, Gracelyn Carter; and 31
WHEREAS, through their unity, discipline and unwavering 32
commitment to excellence, the members of the Bravettes Dance Team 33
have represented Tishomingo County High School with distinction, 34
bringing pride, honor and recognition to their school, their 35
community and the State of Mississippi; and 36
WHEREAS, the team's historic state championship would not 37
have been possible without the continued support of their 38
families, school administrators, faculty, fellow students and the 39
loyal supporters of Tishomingo County High School who have 40
encouraged and celebrated the Bravettes throughout their journey; 41
and 42

Dance Team; commend and congratulate upon
winning Division 1A-4A State Championship.
WHEREAS, it is the policy of the House of Representatives to 43
recognize and commend excellence in our student-athletes and 44
performing arts programs, particularly those such as the 45
Tishomingo County High School "Bravettes" Dance Team whose 46
dedication and achievement serve as an inspiration to young people 47
throughout the State of Mississippi: 48
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF 49
REPRESENTATIVES OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI, That we do hereby 50
commend and congratulate the Tishomingo County High School 51
"Bravettes" Dance Team upon winning the 2025 State Championship in 52
the 1A-4A Hip-Hop Division, and extend best wishes for continued 53
success in all their future endeavors. 54
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That copies of this resolution be 55
furnished to Head Coach Alexis Rogers and Assistant Coach Abigail 56
Williford on behalf of the Tishomingo County High School 57
"Bravettes" Dance Team, and to the members of the Capitol Press 58
Corps. 59
