A RESOLUTION COMMENDING AND CONGRATULATING THE 2025-2026 1
NESHOBA CENTRAL HIGH SCHOOL VARSITY CHEER TEAM ON THEIR UNDEFEATED 2
COMPETITION SEASON AND FOR WINNING THE NATIONAL CHEERLEADERS 3
ASSOCIATION (NCA) HIGH SCHOOL NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP IN THE 4
ADVANCED NON-TUMBLING GAME PERFORMANCE DIVISION. 5
WHEREAS, the 2025-2026 Neshoba Central High School Varsity 6
Cheer Team achieved great success in the Advanced Non-Tumbling 7
Game Performance division at the National Cheerleaders Association 8
(NCA) High School National Championship, ending the year with an 9
undefeated competition season; and 10
WHEREAS, after claiming victory at the NCA Regional 11
Competition, the Neshoba Central Rockets gave an incomparable 12
performance at the Mississippi High School Activities Association 13
(MHSAA) State Championship in the 5A-7A Non-Tumbling Performance 14
division, bringing home the program's first state title in 11 15
years; and 16
WHEREAS, this year's team knew they had big shoes to fill 17
heading into the NCA High School Nationals after Neshoba Cheer's 18
first national championship win last season, but these dedicated 19

student-athletes put in hours of practice in the gym, unwavering 20
in their goal to secure back-to-back championship titles and 21
accepting the challenge with grit and determination from day one; 22
and 23
WHEREAS, the Rockets traveled to Fort Worth, Texas, prepared 24
to compete in the advanced division of the national competition 25
with elite-level stunts and pyramids, jumps, dance and a 26
crowd-leading cheer all packed into a two-minute and thirty-second 27
routine; and 28
WHEREAS, sporting the signature Neshoba Central red, blue and 29
white, the Rockets showcased their school pride, exemplary skill 30
and exceptional athleticism on the mat, flawlessly hitting each 31
step of their routine and outperforming the competition with a 32
final score of 89.0333; and 33
WHEREAS, the team's ascent to the pinnacle of cheerleading 34
excellence has been made manifest through the amazing team spirit, 35
discipline and remarkable talent of its members: Presley Byrd, 36
Alysa Ferguson, Miley Fulton, Haley Gipson, Dixie Hines, Sadie 37
Martin, Bailey McAdory, Halli Smith, Laney Burrage, Macie Rae 38
Parker, Laney Griffis, Kaylin Jones, Alexis Atwood, Rileigh Smith, 39
Blakely Blackburn, Jenny Kate Copeland, Makinley Cole, Lauren 40
Boler and Mady Quinn Morrow; and 41
WHEREAS, the cheer program at Neshoba Central High School 42
exemplifies the highest standards of high school athletics, and 43
this stellar achievement by the Neshoba Central Varsity Cheer Team 44

is a testament to the commitment and support of the team's 45
families, the Neshoba County School District, and the entire 46
community of Philadelphia, Mississippi, whose encouragement, 47
belief and investment in these young women have been invaluable; 48

WHEREAS, this dynamic team has been superbly coached and 50
inspired by Coach Nikki Morrow and Choreographer Austin McNair, 51
who have broadened the squad's knowledge of the sport and refined 52
their skills in execution; and 53
WHEREAS, the members of this team will surely carry the 54
unforgettable memories they have made, as well as the lessons of 55
teamwork, dedication and perseverance they have learned, 56
throughout their lives as they remember the feeling of greatness 57
that accompanies being a champion; and 58
WHEREAS, it is the policy of the House of Representatives to 59
recognize and commend outstanding Mississippi student-athletes, 60
especially those such as the Neshoba Central Varsity Cheer Team, 61
and it is with great pride that we congratulate this incredible 62
team, who have brought honor and pride to their school, their 63
community and the State of Mississippi: 64
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF 65
REPRESENTATIVES OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI, That we do hereby 66
commend and congratulate the 2025-2026 Neshoba Central High School 67
Varsity Cheer Team upon winning the National Cheerleaders 68
