SENATE BILL NO. 2145

AN ACT MAKING AN APPROPRIATION OF GENERAL FUNDS TO THE 1
MISSISSIPPI DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY FOR THE PURPOSE OF DEFRAYING THE 2
EXPENSE OF THE WEST CENTRAL MISSISSIPPI INCUBATOR GRANT PROGRAM 3
FOR FISCAL YEAR 2027; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES. 4
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI: 5
SECTION 1. The following sum, or so much of it as may be 6
necessary, is appropriated out of any money in the General Fund 7
not otherwise appropriated to the Mississippi Development 8
Authority for the purpose of defraying the expense of the West 9
Central Mississippi Incubator Grant Program for the fiscal year 10
beginning July 1, 2026, and ending June 30, 2027...... $500,000.00. 11
SECTION 2. The money appropriated by this act shall be paid 12
by the State Treasurer out of any money in the General Fund not 13
otherwise appropriated upon warrants issued by the State Fiscal 14
Officer; and the State Fiscal Officer shall issue his warrants 15
upon requisitions signed by the proper person, officer or officers 16
in the manner provided by law. 17
SECTION 3. This act shall take effect and be in force from 18
and after July 1, 2026. 19
