SENATE BILL NO. 2147

AN ACT MAKING AN APPROPRIATION OUT OF GENERAL FUNDS TO YAZOO 1
COUNTY FOR THE PURPOSES OF A DRAINAGE PROJECT FOR FISCAL YEAR 2
2027; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES. 3
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI: 4
SECTION 1. The following sum, or so much of it as may be 5
necessary, is hereby appropriated out of any money in the General 6
Fund not otherwise appropriated to Yazoo County for a drainage 7
project for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2026, and ending 8
June 30, 2027........................................ $ 498,009.33. 9
SECTION 2. The money appropriated by this act shall be paid 10
by the State Treasurer out of any money in the General Fund not 11
otherwise appropriated upon warrants issued by the State Fiscal 12
Officer; and the State Fiscal Officer shall issue his warrants 13
upon requisitions signed by the proper person, officer or officers 14
in the manner provided by law. 15
SECTION 3. This act shall take effect and be in force from 16
and after July 1, 2026. 17
