SENATE BILL NO. 2153

AN ACT MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE CITY OF YAZOO CITY, 1
MISSISSIPPI, FOR THE PURPOSE OF DEFRAYING THE COSTS ASSOCIATED 2
WITH IMPROVEMENTS AND UPGRADES TO THE 19TH STREET PARK RECREATION 3
COMPLEX FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 2027. 4
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI: 5
SECTION 1. The following sum, or so much of it as may be 6
necessary, is appropriated out of any money in the State General 7
Fund not otherwise appropriated, to the City of Yazoo City, 8
Mississippi, for the purpose of defraying the costs associated 9
with improvements and upgrades to the 19th Street Park Recreation 10
Complex for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2026, and ending 11
June 30, 2027......................................... $ 195,000.00 12
SECTION 2. Of the funds appropriated under the provisions of 13
Section 1 of this act, the following amounts are to be allocated 14
as follows: 15
To defray costs of installation 16
of a swimming pool.......................... $ 50,000.00 17
To defray costs of certain building 18
improvements................................ $ 60,000.00 19

SECTION 3. The money appropriated by this act shall be paid 29
by the State Treasurer out of any money in the State General Fund 30
not otherwise appropriated, upon warrants issued by the State 31
Fiscal Officer; and the State Fiscal Officer shall issue his or 32
her warrants upon requisitions signed by the proper person, 33
officer or officers in the manner provided by law. 34
SECTION 4. This act shall take effect and be in force from 35
and after July 1, 2026. 36
