SENATE BILL NO. 2158

AN ACT MAKING AN APPROPRIATION OF CAPITAL EXPENSE FUNDS TO 1
THE VILLAGE OF EDEN IN YAZOO COUNTY TO DEFRAY EXPENSES FOR THE 2
IMPROVEMENT OF THE VILLAGE'S WATER AND SEWER SYSTEM FOR FISCAL 3
YEAR 2027; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES. 4
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI: 5
SECTION 1. The following sum, or so much of it as may be 6
necessary, is hereby appropriated out of any money in the Capital 7
Expense Fund to the Village of Eden in Yazoo County, Mississippi, 8
to defray expenses for the improvement of the village's water and 9
sewer system for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2026, and 10
ending June 30, 2027............................... $ 2,879,155.00. 11
SECTION 2. The money herein appropriated shall be paid by 12
the State Treasurer out of any money in the State Treasury not 13
otherwise appropriated upon warrants issued by the State Fiscal 14
Officer; and the State Fiscal Officer shall issue his warrants 15
upon requisitions signed by the proper person, officer or officers 16
in the manner provided by law. 17
SECTION 3. This act shall take effect and be in force from 18
and after July 1, 2026. 19
