SENATE BILL NO. 2629

AN ACT TO DESIGNATE A SEGMENT OF MISSISSIPPI HIGHWAY 32 1
LOCATED IN CALHOUN COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI, AS THE "JOE TUNNEL 2
MEMORIAL HIGHWAY"; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES. 3
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI: 4
SECTION 1. (1) The segment of Mississippi Highway 32 5
located in Calhoun County, Mississippi, commencing at the eastern 6
city limits of Bruce and extending east for a distance of one (1) 7
mile, is designated and shall be known as the "Joe Tunnel Memorial 8
Highway." 9
(2) The Mississippi Department of Transportation shall erect 10
and maintain appropriate signs along and approaching the segment 11
of highway described in subsection (1) of this section. 12
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from 13
and after July 1, 2026. 14
