AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION 89-10-5, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, TO 1
DELETE A PROVISION OF THE REAL PROPERTY OWNERS PROTECTION ACT 2
RELATED TO SQUATTERS; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES. 3
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI: 4
SECTION 1. Section 89-10-5, Mississippi Code of 1972, is 5
amended as follows: 6
89-10-5. (1) * * * The right to manage, control or receive 7
payments for any use of real property shall only belong to the 8
owner of the property or a person designated by the owner for such 9
purposes. 10
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from 11
and after its passage. 12
