AN ACT TO DIRECT THE TRANSFER OF $20 MILLION DOLLARS FROM THE 1
CAPITAL EXPENSE FUND TO THE DISASTER ASSISTANCE TRUST FUND; TO 2
DIRECT THE TRANSFER OF $125 MILLION DOLLARS FROM THE CAPITAL 3
EXPENSE FUND TO THE 2026 LOCAL GOVERNMENTS DISASTER RECOVERY 4
EMERGENCY LOAN FUND; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES. 5
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI: 6
SECTION 1. Upon the effective date of this act, the State 7
Treasurer, in conjunction with the State Fiscal Officer, shall 8
transfer the sum of Twenty Million Dollars ($20,000,000.00) from 9
the Capital Expense Fund (Fund No. 6499C00000) to the Disaster 10
Assistance Trust Fund (Fund No. 3372500000). 11
SECTION 2. Upon the effective date of this act, the State 12
Treasurer, in conjunction with the State Fiscal Officer, shall 13
transfer the sum of One Hundred Twenty-five Million Dollars 14
($125,000,000.00) from the Capital Expense Fund (Fund No. 15
6499C00000) to the 2026 Local Governments Disaster Recovery 16
Emergency Loan Fund created in Section 6 of HB 1646, 2026 Regular 17
Session. 18

SECTION 3. This act shall take effect and be in force from 19
and after its passage. 20
