AN ACT TO AMEND CHAPTER 903, LOCAL AND PRIVATE LAWS OF 2021, 1

OBTAINED IN ITS JUSTICE COURT, TO BE PLACED IN A SPECIAL COUNTY 6
FUND DESIGNATED THE "NOXUBEE COUNTY CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS FUND" AND 7
USED TO FUND CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES. 8
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI: 9
SECTION 1. Chapter 903, Local and Private Laws of 2021, is 10
amended as follows: 11
Section 1. (1) The Board of Supervisors of Noxubee County, 12
Mississippi, in its discretion, is authorized, by resolution duly 13
adopted, to levy an assessment, in addition to any other 14
assessments and court costs in the Justice Court of Noxubee 15
County, as follows: 16
(a) An amount not to exceed Fifty Dollars ($50.00) on 17
each conviction or nonadjudication under the Mississippi Implied 18
Consent Law; and 19
(b) An amount not to exceed Twenty-five Dollars 20
($25.00) on each misdemeanor conviction or nonadjudication other 21

than those specified in paragraph (a) of this subsection, and on 22
each civil case filed. 23
(2) The avails of the additional assessment imposed under 24
subsection (1) of this section shall be placed in a special fund 25
of Noxubee County designated the "Noxubee County Capital 26
Improvements Fund" and shall be expended by the Board of 27
Supervisors to fund capital improvements in the county. 28
(3) This section shall be repealed from and after July 29

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from 31
and after its passage. 32
