SENATE BILL NO. 2934

AN ACT MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE MISSISSIPPI DEVELOPMENT 1
AUTHORITY FOR THE PURPOSE OF DEFRAYING COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH THE 2
SMALL MUNICIPALITIES AND LIMITED POPULATION COUNTIES GRANT PROGRAM 3
FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 2027. 4
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI: 5
SECTION 1. The following sum, or so much of it as may be 6
necessary, is appropriated out of any money in the Capital Expense 7
Fund not otherwise appropriated, to the Mississippi Development 8
Authority for the purpose of defraying costs associated with the 9
Small Municipalities and Limited Population Counties Grant Program 10
authorized in Section 57-1-18 for the fiscal year beginning July 11
1, 2026, and ending June 30, 2027.................. $ 1,000,000.00. 12
SECTION 2. The money appropriated by this act shall be paid 13
by the State Treasurer out of any money in the Capital Expense 14
Fund not otherwise appropriated, upon warrants issued by the State 15
Fiscal Officer; and the State Fiscal Officer shall issue his or 16
her warrants upon requisitions signed by the proper person, 17
officer or officers in the manner provided by law. 18

SECTION 3. This act shall take effect and be in force from 19
and after July 1, 2026. 20
