SENATE BILL NO. 2937

AN ACT MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO CLAY COUNTY FOR THE PURPOSE 1
OF DEFRAYING COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH THE REPAIR, PAVING, AND 2
IMPROVEMENTS TO WAVERLY ROAD FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 2027. 3
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI: 4
SECTION 1. The following sum, or so much of it as may be 5
necessary, is appropriated out of any money in the Capital Expense 6
Fund not otherwise appropriated, to Clay County for the purpose of 7
defraying costs associated with the repair, paving, and 8
improvements to Waverly Road for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 9
2026, and ending June 30, 2027..................... $ 1,000,000.00. 10
SECTION 2. The money appropriated by this act shall be paid 11
by the State Treasurer out of any money in the Capital Expense 12
Fund not otherwise appropriated, upon warrants issued by the State 13
Fiscal Officer; and the State Fiscal Officer shall issue his or 14
her warrants upon requisitions signed by the proper person, 15
officer or officers in the manner provided by law. 16
SECTION 3. This act shall take effect and be in force from 17
and after July 1, 2026. 18
