SENATE BILL NO. 2938

AN ACT MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO CLAY COUNTY FOR THE PURPOSE 1
OF DEFRAYING COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH THE REPAIR, PAVING, AND 2
IMPROVEMENTS TO GOOD ROAD, PRUITT ROAD, AND ROADS IN SUPERVISOR 3
DISTRICT 3 FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 2027. 4
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI: 5
SECTION 1. The following sum, or so much of it as may be 6
necessary, is appropriated out of any money in the Capital Expense 7
Fund not otherwise appropriated, to Clay County for the purpose of 8
defraying costs associated with the repair, paving, and 9
improvements to Good Road, Pruitt Road, and roads in Supervisor 10
District 3 for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2026, and ending 11
June 30, 2027........................................ $ 500,000.00. 12
SECTION 2. The money appropriated by this act shall be paid 13
by the State Treasurer out of any money in the Capital Expense 14
Fund not otherwise appropriated, upon warrants issued by the State 15
Fiscal Officer; and the State Fiscal Officer shall issue his or 16
her warrants upon requisitions signed by the proper person, 17
officer or officers in the manner provided by law. 18
