BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI: 11
SECTION 1. The following sum, or so much of it as may be 12
necessary, is appropriated out of any money in the State General 13
Fund not otherwise appropriated, to Mercy House Adult and Teen 14
Challenge for the purpose of defraying expenses related to the 15
development of improvements and additions to the Mercy House Adult 16
and Teen Challenge campus in Georgetown, Mississippi, the planned 17
location of the Mercy House Adult and Teen Challenge short-term 18
drug and alcohol rehabilitation center in Learned, Mississippi, 19
and for the acquisitions of and improvements to Mercy House Adult 20
and Teen Challenge Third Phase and Aftercare Transitional Phase 21

residential houses and facilities throughout Mississippi for the 22
fiscal year beginning July 1, 2026, and ending June 30, 23
2027............................................... $ 3,631,000.00. 24
SECTION 2. The money appropriated by this act shall be paid 25
by the State Treasurer out of any money in the State General Fund 26
not otherwise appropriated, upon warrants issued by the State 27
Fiscal Officer; and the State Fiscal Officer shall issue his or 28
her warrants upon requisitions signed by the proper person, 29
officer or officers in the manner provided by law. 30
SECTION 3. This act shall take effect and be in force from 31
and after July 1, 2026. 32
