SENATE BILL NO. 2988

AN ACT MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO WASHINGTON COUNTY TO DEFRAY 1
EXPENSES ASSOCIATED WITH MAKING REPAIRS, RESURFACING, AND MAKING 2
IMPROVEMENTS TO STREETS LOCATED IN SUPERVISOR DISTRICT 1 FOR 3
FISCAL YEAR 2027. 4
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI: 5
SECTION 1. The following sum, or so much thereof as may be 6
necessary, is hereby appropriated out of any money in the State 7
General Fund not otherwise appropriated, to Washington County to 8
defray expenses associated with making repairs, resurfacing, and 9
making improvements to streets located in Supervisor District 1 10
for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2026, and ending June 30, 11
2027............................................... $ 1,000,000.00. 12
SECTION 2. The money appropriated in this act shall be paid 13
by the State Treasurer out of any money in the State General Fund 14
not otherwise appropriated, upon warrants issued by the State 15
Fiscal Officer; and the State Fiscal Officer shall issue his 16
warrants upon requisitions signed by the proper person, officer or 17
officers in the manner provided by law. 18
