AN ACT MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE TOWN OF METCALFE FOR 1
THE PURPOSE OF DEFRAYING COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH PAVING, 2
RESURFACING, AND IMPROVING CERTAIN STREETS FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 3
2027. 4
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI: 5
SECTION 1. The following sum, or so much of it as may be 6
necessary, is appropriated out of any money in the State General 7
Fund not otherwise appropriated, to the Town of Metcalfe for the 8
purpose of defraying costs associated with paving, resurfacing, 9
and improving certain streets, including Martin Luther King Drive, 10
Highway (Metcalfe Rd.) Street, Griffin Street, and Calhoun Street 11
for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2026, and ending 12
June 30, 2027....................................... $ 1,270,000.00 13
SECTION 2. The money appropriated by this act shall be paid 14
by the State Treasurer out of any money in the State General Fund 15
not otherwise appropriated, upon warrants issued by the State 16
Fiscal Officer; and the State Fiscal Officer shall issue his or 17
her warrants upon requisitions signed by the proper person, 18
officer or officers in the manner provided by law. 19
