SENATE BILL NO. 3014

AN ACT MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE CITY OF CLARKSDALE, 1
MISSISSIPPI, FOR THE PURPOSE OF DEFRAYING COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH 2
THE PURCHASE OF MAINTENANCE VEHICLES AND EQUIPMENT FOR THE FISCAL 3
YEAR 2027. 4
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI: 5
SECTION 1. The following sum, or so much of it as may be 6
necessary, is appropriated out of any money in the State General 7
Fund not otherwise appropriated, to the City of Clarksdale, 8
Mississippi, for the purpose of defraying costs associated with 9
the purchase of maintenance vehicles and equipment for the fiscal 10
year beginning July 1, 2026, and ending June 30, 2027............. 11
................................................... $ 1,500,000.00. 12
SECTION 2. It is the intent of the Legislature that the 13
money appropriated under this act be used to acquire two (2) 14
trucks with mounted, articulated cranes and one (1) 15
trailer-mounted leaf loader. 16
SECTION 3. The money appropriated by this act shall be paid 17
by the State Treasurer out of any money in the State General Fund 18
not otherwise appropriated, upon warrants issued by the State 19

Fiscal Officer; and the State Fiscal Officer shall issue his or 20
her warrants upon requisitions signed by the proper person, 21
officer or officers in the manner provided by law. 22
SECTION 4. This act shall take effect and be in force from 23
and after July 1, 2026. 24
